Food Bank Services helps people living with HIV access groceries when financial, health, or mobility challenges make it harder to get the food they need.
Who is this for?
- People living with HIV who need help accessing healthy food
- Individuals who are having trouble affording groceries
- People with health or mobility challenges
- Individuals who need food support that aligns with medical, cultural, or dietary needs when available
What services may be included?
- Food bank groceries and basic personal care items
- Home-delivered groceries for eligible individuals who cannot easily leave home
- Grocery gift cards or vouchers when allowed by the program
What does it not include?
- Household appliances
- Pet foods
- Other non-essential products
How does it work?
- Staff review eligibility and conduct a food assessment to determine what type of food support best fits the person’s needs.
- Services provided are documented in the client record.
- The type of food support may vary based on provider capacity and program rules.
